Lost Horizon

Again fine lighting, long shots, especially long shots with some funny angles for some remarkable shots. Usually using mattes, I would guess, the art direction really went all out on some terrific big work here. Lots of sillouhettes and so on. High key for Shangri-La.
The ideas here are quite ambiguous. Not recognising when you have something great would seem a usual Capra theme, but the general sense of destiny, pushing you away from it, is stranger. As is the repuditation of everyday life.
